Installing this on the underside of my 1979 Camaro as an extra muffler. On top of this Kilmat lay the usual substrate, then the carpet. 20 sq feet would be ideal, but this 18 sq. Feet was pretty close to covering the whole floor. I cut it off leaving enough room for the seat bolts. The entire transmission tunnel is covered and cut around the shifter. Wearing gloves is a good idea, not latex but something thicker like mechanic's gloves. The edges of the foil underlay easily cut the meat. Adhesion is pretty good. I didn't have any of those little reels so I used a deep bait and just rolled it with my palm. Seemed to work fine.
