I have an Acer Tower with an old Realtek chip and the performance was uneven at best. Speeds fluctuated within minutes, sometimes up to 6Mbps if I have a gigabit router and operate one floor from home. The TP-Link dongle helped a lot, but again it oscillated between 144Mbps and 760Mbps, not knowing what would happen next. I installed this new Cudy in minutes, although I didn't use a bluetooth cable as the tower had no connection or I couldn't find it. Regardless, I don't use Bluetooth in my office. I really liked the completeness of the kit, which not only includes an adapter for a half-height housing, but also a screw if necessary. Just installed the supplied driver from the CD and it worked. One floor below and throughout the house, wireless transmissions regularly exceed 300 Mbit/s, which is great. Very satisfied and would recommend this as a great replacement for a tired NIC.
