I waited months to use these before reviewing them and here is my take on them they sound really amazing for their size and if you are already a fan of KEF -loudspeakers are, you know, they stand out sonically and visually. To me, this is the perfect pair of high-resolution portable streaming speakers + monitors for my home studio. However, if your MAIN goal isn't to have an all-in-one portable streaming solution, but to get better overall sound for $$, you'll get more push/scaling with something like Bluesound Powernode paired with a pair KEF Q150s or Q-acoustic concept 20s for about the same price or a little more (Q150s have been $300 for the last two months). I wanted to mention that in the "wireless" connection mode between master and slave, I will force the slave speaker to disconnect when Hi-Fi is streaming over the wireless network (e.g. when using Tidal). I do NOT get this issue when using Bluetooth or streaming externally via an optical digital input, only over Wi-Fi. And with my router 10 meters away from the speakers. I know this isn't an issue with Tidal or Wi-Fi as I can go downstairs and stream high definition video to my Bluesound Node 2i with no issues. I hope KEF can fix this in the next FW release. I still leave the ethernet cable plugged in to enjoy the maximum sound level. So you'll be amazed at the sound that comes out of these speakers for their size, but since they're not cheap I would just make sure the all-in-one + portability design makes sense to you.
