Review on SpeedArmis Retro Ladder Toss Game Set - 35In Rubber Wooden Ladder Ball Golf Lawn Game with 6 Bolo Balls & Carrying Case - Fun Outdoor Yard Game for Kids, Adults, and Families by Joshua Douglas

Revainrating 3 out of 5

A good game with three annoying bugs that can be fixed.

I can't get over these three production errors, so I'll list them first. 1) The Allen key they gave you (which doubles as a Phillips screwdriver on the other end) is TOO SMALL. It does not match the supplied screws. This is an unforgivable design flaw and reading other reviews I see that this issue wasn't just mine. grinds my gears and proves that the marketing, engineering and manufacturing people DID NOT TALK TO EACH OTHER at all when designing this product; The carrying case is about 10 times smaller than the carrying case of the set. let me be clear a business. as intended. intended for single use only. and then throw it in the trash. when the item is assembled. it hit me Look at the picture of the case. Then look at the set. There is 0% that anything but golf balls (or UNASSEMBLED parts) will fit in there. I am amazed at this ridiculous waste of resources. (Listen, it would be a LITTLE different if the case was originally used to store the parts and then you take them somewhere, open the case and create a set, but the parts are wrapped in plastic shrink wrap NEXT to the case, which is ALSO in Plastic wrapped so I didn't even need a case because I assembled the set as soon as I opened it.) The reason it's so laborious is because this product takes at least 20-30 minutes to assemble and you screw it need each piece forever and ever. Once created you really can't take it apart since it takes you 20 minutes to take it apart and you won't be able to put it back together next time because the screw holes have already been used. The only thing that makes this set at least semi-portable is that the base of the set has sliding bolts that allow you to unscrew the base so it lays flat and is easier to transport in a car. But in a million years, you'll never be able to use the included bag to store items. 3) This is the strangest thing of all. The instructions explain how to play the game and inform you that whoever gets 21 points first wins and that you get 1 point, 2 points or 3 points depending on how many points you get by throwing the catch balls. HOWEVER, the magnetic plate you screw to the sides of the base that tracks your score with magnets on metal numbers ONLY REACHES 15! What is this bad communication? You are giving me instructions on how to play a game and the game I am making does not support playing that game. (My young son kept telling me the game wasn't working and I didn't realize it until I looked at the numbers. The score was 13:15 and yet we ran out of numbers to mark and couldn't play the game play 21. Unless we just made it in our heads. That's ridiculous. Either give us a game that only supports 15 numbers or give us license plates that go up to 21). Aside from the ventilation, the set is fine. My kids and I have played a few games with it and haven't had any durability issues. The golf ball throw seems to work really well and spins well when you hit the stance and the fit and finish of the set feels decent. , and updated the numbers on the magnets, I would give 4 stars. And if they had updated their instructions to be more user friendly and to include a way to transport them more easily (maybe with detachable handles?) this set might even have gotten 5 stars. If you play the game and want to bring your own tools and find that you have to assemble it before you can take it everywhere, it might still be worth buying, but shame on the manufacturer for shipping. with these flaws.
