At that price point I had pictures of paper veneer bubbly and scratchy, sagging poor quality chipboard and wobbly construction I wouldn't trust under my weight equipment. Instead, this beauty arrived at my door. As the title says, I was pleasantly surprised! This table is very well made for the price. It came together very quickly. The laminated finish feels durable and appears to be scratch and chip resistant. The shelves make a solid impression. I didn't bother to fill the bottom shelf with my gear. The keyboard tray slides out very smoothly. While this table 100% serves my purpose, I would like to warn others that it is quite small as I needed something to fit in my closet. A full-size keyboard and mouse will do, but to leave more room for the mouse, a compact keyboard without a number pad is better.
