I bought this for my kitten. I guess to be fair she is still small so durability of this will have to be seen over time. It's as pictured and the fabric is soft. The tower was easy to assemble. My cat loves to lay in it and watch birds. My biggest issue with it which I didn't think about at the time is the steepness of the tower. Other towers I've bought in the past have a ladder or the levels are offset making it easy to jump (especially if you have an older kitty). This tower was difficult for my kitten to jump on but she did make it after a few tries. Would prefer easier access especially for when kitty gets older.
