Works great on short pile carpets and hard floors. . . not much

I bought this when my cordless electric sweeper gave up the ghost and I needed something quick. I was planning on getting another electric one as soon as I could do some research. I got this mainly for cat hair and cat litter on hard floors and carpets. Judging by the video, it works well on the carpet. But it just smears dirt on my hardwood floors and linoleum. I found it better if you face the dirt and roll back. Anyway, I plan to keep it in case my next electric sweeper breaks.
