This replaced the carburetor on my Craftsman 247.881731 snow blower that was gummed up from using ethanol gas and letting it sit a full winter without use. Thought I'd burned all the old gas through when I put it away but apparently ethanol had other plans. Tried to clean the old carb but it leaked gas after my poor attempt at being a mechanic. So this was a great alternative. Gaskets weren't exact so I used one of the 3 off the original carb. No apparent issues with the 2 new ones. Fired up…

I ordered this carburetor in case I couldn't get the original one on my snowblower cleaned and the engine running. It so happened I got the original one cleaned before receiving this carb, so had no need to install it. It appears to be nearly identical and should install and work with no problem. I now have a spare at a great price!

Works better than expected. I was able to start my 5hp 2 stage Craftsman snowblower by pulling twice while it was 20F outside (previous start was about 50 days ago.)The price for this carb is really good. Great value. One of the valves didn’t match the OEM I was replacing so I used the old one. Can’t beat the price for everything you get in the kit. Install was fairly simple. Replaced this on my craftsman snowblower that was bogging down / not starting and not idling properly. Once I replaced with this unit it now starts on the first pull and runs as expected.

Arrived a day early and installed flawlessly. It was an exact replica of my MTD gold Snowblower Carb and when I got it installed the machine ran flawlessly. Super happy and would recommend this product

Original carb on the MTD Snow Blower did not work right. It was VERY hard to start. Sometimes I would just give up and shovel by hand. With new carb it starts on the first pull.

I wasn't sure what I was getting into when I decided to change this thing myself. My snowblower wouldn't stay running and after a lot of other remedies failed I was left with a clogged carburetor. There's a little tube that runs down that's supposed to be able to be removed for cleaning, but mine was stripped so that wasn't an option. Arrived quickly! Already had the other carb out so installation was a breeze. Well, as easily a breeze as the lousy location on the Yard Machines snow blower allows. Worked perfectly and if I get one season out of this carb I'll be happy, especially for the price! No surging and running smoothly. Didn't utilize the shutoff valve, primer hose or primer bulb but I'm sure they'd work fine. I would purchase again.

Although this looks like a suitable replacement for you OEM carburetor, don't be fooled. I was only able to use one gasket that came with the kit. The other two did not match up. Furthermore, I had to replace the choke plate with the one off of my old carburetor because the lever would not fit into the hole. The hole was way too small. The carburetor did work after that and that is why I gave it 3 stars. Keeping my old carb to rebuild as I am not expecting this to last more than a few seasons…

Used this to replace a carburetor in a Cub Cadet snowblower that would struggle to start. Installation was a pain because of the snowblower model itself, not because of this product. it came with extra bits and pieces (fuel primer button, throttle lever, choke knob) meant for a snowblower model that I didn't have or need, not a bad thing but not necessary for me.Don't leave ethanol-containing gas in your small engines, folks!

I ordered this because of the positive reviews.Boy, was I mistaken!The surfaces where the gaskets are to be place are uneven, scratched and pitted, but definitely not professionally machined.A few small spots even have minor gouges in them. WTF!Probably be returning this item. The carburetor worked great and immediately restored my Craftsman snowblower to working order without even needing jet adjustments, but the packaging isn't fantastic and the first one arrived with the primer nipple broken off in shipping

I had about given up on my snow blower; couldn't get it started. As soon as I put this carburetor on, the snow blower fired right up. I saved a lot of money by not having a small motor mechanic come to the house to get my snow blower fixed.

Needed 2 of the same gasket (bottom right in picture) and not the top one. I had to re-use one old one.Nevertheless it fired right up and runs goodI have a Troy built storm 2620

Installed in my Craftsman 26” snowblower. Installation was pretty straightforward (if you thoroughly researched YouTube first) and relatively quick to install.

This was bought to replace the carburetor on a Cub Cadet 524 SWE. There were some problems:- The hole for the choke linkage was too small. I had to drill it out.- The choke plate bound in the bore. I worked the choke by hand while pulling and pushing on the shaft to make it move freely.- The intake gasket had excess material. I trimmed it so it would fit.- The other gasket cutouts did not match the originals. I re-used the original gaskets.Once those issues were taken care of the carburetor fit

The carb did the trick ,got my snow blower going again,the kit comes with some xtra stuff that may or may not be needed great buy.

The only thing negative I would say was that the gaskets were cheap and flimsy. I had to replace one because I damaged it during the process. Regarding the one star for installation, which really had nothing to do with the Carburetor but with the Mfg of the equipment I was working on which was a Craftsman Snow blower. I've worked on many carburetors but this one was very difficult to replace.lots of tear-down.

Perfect replacement carb,only problem was having to take apart the entire upper portion of the snowblower to get to carb but that is craftsman’s design error ,after installed and primed ,snowblower started right up.
