Isn't the pot interchangeable? Local heating requires higher melting temperatures, which increases oxidation.

The first thing that struck me was the bulbous inner packaging of the product. Turns out this was because the extra soldering pot was simply tipped upside down on the unit and the packaging just wasn't designed for it. at least they could stack the pots. And I don't really understand the point of the extra pot. I couldn't figure out how to replace it; As can be seen in the photos there is some sort of hook/ring mechanism for attaching the pan to the bottom and as far as I can tell the pan is heated by a resistive metal band that wraps around the pan, either brazed or spot welded. . Heat is primarily radiated inward from the diameter of the pan and it seems to depend on thermal conductivity to heat everything up (although there may be a heating element at the bottom and I just damaged the conductive medium between it and the bottom of the pan). pan as I naively tried to pull the pan up and figured out how to replace it - the strip of metal around the pan springs back). So I just used an extra pot to hold the "slag" building up on the surface. too much because too high temperatures are required to melt the entire pot. Also, the entire block gets too hot to touch. I would try the 50mm version first, hopefully the smaller size makes the temperature control really useful.

Pros
  • PRECISE TEMPERATURE REGULATION
Cons
  • Little things
