when I opened the Amazon box for this item I felt a bit stupid. It came in a fairly large Amazon box and inside was the fully assembled box you see in the picture with a gift pack inside. I didn't feel stupid at how good the box is, or how heavy it is, or how decorative it looks, or even how pretty and lots of lashes. and energy to send me a medium sized ready assembled gift box. If you can get over that and get that crate at a price that justifies the shipping and an empty crate. I would do it again.
