Review on ๐Ÿ’™ TomTom Multi-Sport GPS Watch: Grey with Heart Rate Monitor - Enhance Your Fitness Tracking by Lori Fleurosier

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Like the design. Features Fairly good

I've had four runs with this unit after connecting it to a PC and updating the firmware and GPS coordinates. I love the design of this watch. I love the way the menus are laid out, and after playing around with the Forerunner 610 for a while, I definitely prefer the TomTom Multisport's "button controls" over the Garmin 610's touchscreen interface. I like that, too large displays. The Garmin text is so tiny that I have to use glasses to see it while running. With TomTom I don't need glasses at all. Most of the time I walk straight. So running 5km means I need to know 50% of the distance so I can turn around and come back. TomTom's Tor feature is great for that. It actually has a progress bar in the form of a pie chart that tells you how far along you are and also beeps and vibrates when you hit the 50% mark. It is great! **EDIT** We finally got intervals and races over the previous race features that were added to the watch via update. I am happy to report that it is now working as advertised. You can set up a basic warm up/work/rest/cool down workout and compete against the time you already have on your watch. Next thing I want to ask is a way to save your interval training so you can have more than one workout and switch between them. It would also be nice to be able to set a target speed/heart rate for the work portion of the interval. According to the TomTom website, we'll be getting expanded interval options soon, so stay tuned. :)
