Intelligent Enzymes Toothpaste is my first experience with an enzyme based toothpaste. I had to look up information on how it was supposed to work because the instructions on the box were a bit unclear. I love the idea of using a natural (hopefully healthier) version of toothpaste, but this one just isn't for me. Read on for my experience: When I first opened the tube, clear liquid came out. After that, the toothpaste thickened, but it was still very wet. I applied a normal amount to my toothbrush but it felt like I was brushing with wet bristles. I applied a little more and continued the cleanse but the sensations stayed the same. I let it sit while I brushed and it was on my teeth for about 10 minutes. My teeth didn't feel clean after using this toothpaste. I've tried both a manual and a rechargeable toothbrush and the effect is the same. My teeth don't seem as clean as with the mainline toothpastes. Intelligent Enzymes Toothpaste might be a good option for those determined to use enzyme-based toothpaste, but I won't be using it any further.
