I wanted to upgrade my jewelry pliers and decided to spend extra money to get these pliers. I bought a curved chain, a chain and a pair of thin round nose pliers. In the beginning they were great. The springs had just the right tension to avoid hand fatigue. The size was good for fine work with gemstones from 2mm to 8mm and wire from 28g to 18 gauge semi hard wire. In less than a month the mainsprings began to bend and the pliers did not open easily. Of the three I bought, two of the mainsprings actually broke off and the third snapped back and forth. I returned two and would have returned the last one but that was just over the 30 day policy. Other tools I've bought for a third of the price last years longer. I had high hopes for her and was very disappointed. I have looked at several brands and found the Beadalon Ergo line to be the best so far. Haven't had them for a long time but so far so good.
