If you want a messenger bag, get a real messenger bag--calling this a messenger bag may be a bit misleading. However, I love it. I needed something to carry on the plane that would fit my 13" macbook air for travel and then could double as a day pack/rugged "purse" for every day use and this is perfect.The strap is the length I wanted (hangs just right) and it's so well made.In fact, it's got so much structure to it that it still looks cool just carrying a few things like my wallet and glasses case but it is big enough to be an overnight bag, too.I've got a big trip coming up and it's exactly the multi-purpose bag I needed. Meanwhile, I'm using it every day because it feels and looks so cool. (I think someone referred to it in another post here as an "Indiana Jones" bag which was a selling point for me. I'm a 38-year-old woman but I always wanted to be Indy as a kid so I'm fulfilling a childhood dream hahah)
