So I took a chance on this shelf. I'm glad I did. Just got back from a 700 mile trip on three bikes. The bikes were kept safe and secure. I am very happy with this purchase Advantages: 1. Very durable, unbreakable, transport bikes safely.2. It's relatively easy to dump bikes quickly without damaging the paintwork. Disadvantages: 1. Heavy. I'm quite a tall person but got the frame into the hitch with little effort; However, two people can easily cope with this task. The rack cannot be protected against theft. I have partially overcome this deficiency by running a kryptonite cable through the frames of bikes and attaching it to the hitch. It is very important that the cable does not sag if you leave it attached during transport.3. It cannot be tilted or tilted to the side. If you drive a hatchback or SUV, this can be a major concern. If money isn't an issue, get the more expensive stands for the security and convenience that come with the more expensive stands. However, when money is an issue and other factors are not, you won't be disappointed as the quality is there.
