Mainly used for winter rowing at night in places with sea traffic. Great design, great visibility with 360 degree backlighting. It is important to sit away from you to increase your chances of being seen by other boats while rowing. Easily attaches to deck lines/bounce line and does it on its own immediately after a rollover/fall. The light does not interfere with other rowers' night vision - the diffuser is not transparent, it is white so as such it provides softer illumination.
