We bought two of these for the entrances to our office building. They're pretty much ready to use right out of the box, just install and switch on. They come with a fairly long charging cable, but no power adapter. We used some old phone chargers to plug in and leave plugged in. I can't comment on the battery life as they are plugged in. great but works, you have to set up a person before you can change the tempo to F. There is no Windows app for that. I would rather track usage on my computer than on my phone. The temperature alarm cannot be set lower than 99.5F. Since these non-contact thermometers (like most) tend to read a bit low, it would be nice if you could set it lower and then use a more accurate one to check for a fever. the temperature of each person. We have installed a main entrance between the front doors so you can take your temperature before entering the main building. My administrative assistant can see the lights and hear the beeps, so taking the temperature doesn't engage the employee and if someone has a fever they don't actually come in or come into contact with it. Overall, this is the best alternative to portable options, and just as accurate. Not as good as $1,000 units, but for the price it works.
