Review on BoxWave TinyMount Windshield Adjustable Smartphones by Doug Hook

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Big! Less more!

Brilliant design, fits anywhere, much less than other mounts that cost twice or more and perform the same. Missing instructions can be confusing. I think the other review explains how it works, but here's what I did with the app. The holder is reminiscent of an old waffle press: the base and top plates are connected by an articulated arm. Once assembled, the top (which holds your phone) rotates up or down to customize the perfect look. The entire base is a "ribbed handle" positioned just above the suction cup. Turn the handle (with a nice ratchet) all the way to the LEFT (counterclockwise) to prepare for installation. Find the best place for your phone now. Play with different locations. You will find that its flexibility is remarkable. Once you find that spot, press the suction cup FIRMLY onto the surface. AT THE SAME TIME, turn this "ribbed knob" (you turned it to the left earlier) firmly to the RIGHT - as far as it will go - until the suction cup snaps securely into place. That's all! Turning the handle pushes the suction cup down, forcing air out and locking the mount in place. The mount's design is flexible enough that it can be installed almost anywhere, and the spring-loaded arms open wide. Note2 is firmly in place. The only disappointment I found was that the articulated arm would "extend slightly" out of direct view. Just because of the weight of the phone. But playing with angles and placement almost guarantees a pitch you'll be happy with. The company has very cleverly included a replacement suction pad that has a very strong adhesive on the back. This allows you to place it almost anywhere. Compact, durable, and gets the job done for a small investment (right here at Revain).
