I bought the tallest version of this lamp. So it took some effort to put it together, but it wasn't too bad. I was able to do it myself in 15 minutes. You can customize the light color you want. You can set it to be a cool white (with an almost bluish tint) or a warmer white (which is the lamp's default "color"). The lamp features 2 RGB LED bulbs that can work independently - to the point where you can actually turn off one of them and leave the other on. as if they were two separate lamps. You can adjust not only the colors but also the brightness - I like it when I'm sleeping, when I'm sleeping, when the soft turquoise color glows. The lamp has a foot switch; However, all functions (including turning the lamp on and off) can be performed using the supplied remote control. Instructions are included with the remote control. While using the remote isn't the most intuitive thing, if you play around with it you'll eventually see what each button does. I would buy this again. Very cool.
