The yarn is soft and thick, but too fine for hand knitting. I tried it and the fabric came out with holes that were too big. I also tried knitting in size 35 which is 19mm but it was too thin for the yarn. I ordered needles #50 (25mm) and am waiting for them now, I hope they work with yarn. My size 35 needles were straight and it was an added problem putting so many stitches on them that the stitches fell off at the ends. The needles I ordered are round to avoid this problem. I knitted two balls of yarn while trying to hand knit and couldn't find any knots which is great.
