I like these. They will come in handy in the shed. I used to clip horses professionally and they are great for finishing. I used them to shave my white mustang socks (the socks from her winter coat that were dirty). They also helped her learn how to use hair clippers as they are cordless and silent. I used them to shave my cat (medium coat) and everything worked fine. I have not used them on my dog except for the finishing touch. I shave my dog with horse clippers. You could get away with trimming a small dog, but I have a dog (a German Shepherd with a similar coat).
