I try to stay awake with my phone on my bedside table to resist the urge to flip through it before bed. Unfortunately, this is my most convenient way of setting an alarm in the morning and checking the time. Simple solution: good old alarm clock. The clock radio meets all expectations. It has an AM/FM tuner, an alarm function, and despite what other reviewers might say, you can set the time manually. I really appreciate the simple aesthetic, easy to read and looks great on a bedside table. The brightness settings are adjustable, but to be honest, even the brightest setting won't bother you unless you're a very light sleeper. My only minor complaints; I wish it had AM presets and FM presets. I like listening to baseball games on AM and waking up to music on FM. They also only have one alarm, but it's not really a problem to set it ahead or back a few hours if I want to sleep or get up early. My updated version of this watch looked essentially new. $15 for this alarm clock was a steal.
