I have 8 inch gingher scissors and I love how they cut through multiple layers of fabric for multiple. But I have to say that I am very impressed with these 9 inch Kai shears. Ergonomic handle is more comfortable to use. I quilted and sewed sixteen Christmas socks. Each stocking pattern consisted of four layers of fabric and two layers of batting. My hand/wrist didn't get tired or hurt after cutting all those stockings. They also cut through multiple layers of denim like butter. I highly recommend these scissors, just make sure your family does NOT use them on paper!
