This radio itself is great. Looks, feels and feels solid and heavy. Battery life is short, a simple scan doesn't last a day. However, the supporting software/firmware is terrible. Unless you are very good with computers and DMR radio programming, stay away from this radio. Retevis' CPSprogrammer is difficult to navigate, took many steps to get the right versions and had compatibility issues with Win10. I programmed famous brands and Chinese HTs with various software from Kenwood KPGD1N to CHIRP for many years and I couldn't find out that this radio could save my life. It currently only works in analog mode, which is fine. There aren't even a dozen how-to videos and I've spent days poking around the forums and YouTube trying to figure out how to create a code plugin in a format this radio can accept. DMR, stay away from RT82.
