I got this for my two 4 year old grandchildren for their birthdays. It's a great manipulator to learn math skills in many different ways. Grandkids loved it! Only downside is keeping track of all the little monkeys and putting everything back in the storage box doesn't stop me from highly recommending it. One more note: At first we were a bit confused when we looked at the attached maps. Some have equations on one side with numbers on the back that we first thought were wrong answers to the equation on the opposite side. However, we found that the two sides of the map are unrelated and are color coded to help distinguish between player skill levels. Flashcards are not required for the game, but can be very useful for learning to recognize numbers. Children can play this game alone or with others.
