I would only give this product 2 stars alone. The reason it gets an extra star is because another product makes this gate usable. Pros: The lock feature is great. Maybe it will fit different widths (and work in other holes in our house). If installed in a good place, it will be durable. Cons: Even with 3 different extensions, it doesn't (safely) fit all the holes it advertises. Our opening is 47 inches at the top and 44 inches at the baseboards. An extension combo is too short as the tension brackets flex when pushed out when extended making it very unsafe if you have babies/toddlers pushing/pulling the gate. The larger extension will not go through the floor as it is too wide. The beauty of this product is that the gate works great when installed with wall railings from another company that I purchased separately and still feels solid and doesn't bend. I'm only giving this gate 3 stars because I think it should work without any additional products across the full range of openings advertised.
