The product didn't turn on then it turned itself on and we couldn't turn it off. When we realized it was getting hot and the battery was dead, we had to turn it off using the reset function, which requires a tiny needle that we certainly don't have handy in the pool. After safe shutdown, the cycle begins again. It does not begin. The poor birthday boy is so sad. I'm not sure if I want to try and fix it or get it back, but it's unusable as is. I'll see what I can find to replace it before asking the kid if they want it back. I'm afraid to take another one after this experience and after reading the reviews.
