Review on 🖨️ Carborundum 3D Printers - High-Quality Printing at 300X300X400mm by Stephen Parkell

I am very disappointed with it. Looks like it's decent, the hardware looks good, solid and put together sensibly. But it's junk, so I'm sending it back. The first printer I had had a bent printhead mount and was dangling from the rail. I emailed Creasee and was very impressed with how quickly they helped me resolve the issue. I was impressed. That was the last time I was impressed. I've tried many, many times to print the sample files that were on the included SD card and the machine would preheat the extruder and bed and then zero out. And then. Nothing. The screen changes from "Print" to "Pause". OK - I click continue. The screen flashes again and then stops again. Everything is in sync. I've tried resuming the print a dozen times and it didn't work. So I emailed Creasee support again - and no response. It's been a week. I spent 10 hours trying my best to get this thing printed. I almost flashed the firmware on it, but instead I decided to return it. Got a replacement printer yesterday. Collected, leveled, I try the print. And it doesn't stick to the bed. I've leveled the bed a dozen times, it just doesn't hold up! Finally tried the glue stick method. Great - holds up great! Let the bunny file print out and after looking at the first few layers move on to other things. Went back to check progress and the printer is idle. Wow, that was quick! HA! Not done. It only printed 5 or 6 cm high and went into thermal runaway mode! How do I know? Because the screen says so. Reset as instructed and try again. Now the hotend doesn't heat up at all. It doesn't really get hot - it's not hot at all. And that's it! TWO bad printers in a row? Sure, it's cheap, but it doesn't work, so it's not worth a penny. I'm still a novice printer - maybe 100 prints to my name. But I'm an engineer and I know how to debug and fix things. I'm sure I could fix it - even without manufacturer support - but it's not worth it. There must be better 3D printers. It couldn't be worse.
