Review on 🔒 Bolt Lock 5922986 Spare Tire and Wheel Lock - Optimized for 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK by Alex Reunion

First off, this hood latch is perfect for the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK and JKU, despite what Revain tells you. Some reviews talk about how easy it is to bypass this lock, but I've seriously tried and failed. Finally, any lock can be bypassed, but it's deterrent and I'm not worried about someone bypassing it just to steal the battery or other engine components without wasting time. This lock is very well made and durable and installation was easy. The fact that it was tied to my ignition key was one of the main selling points as I don't want another key added to my keychain. Installation: Installation took about 15 minutes. You will need a riveting tool that uses 1/4 inch rivets to install the lock. I bought one with this lock for an extra $20 and it worked great. The kit contains 4 rivets and 6 plastic inserts to replace the front. Grill you will most likely need to replace the original grill, there are several videos on YouTube and from the manufacturer that explain how to install it. But it's really easy. It's great that the key isn't removed when the key is turned to unlock, making sure you don't accidentally forget to block it. this castle!
