I've never left a review on Amazon but this thing is amazing so I wanted to share my thoughts. I've been using Chemex/Aeropress for 2 years to meet my caffeine needs. However, I recently broke my Chemex while reviewing various "slow brew" coffee makers (smart, v60, pot) when I decided to switch to cold brew coffee. Drinking one cup of cold brew concentrate instead of three cups of hot coffee would save me a trip to the bathroom. Also, I live in Arizona and hot coffee and summer don't mix. I chose this cold brew coffee maker for a number of reasons. First, it's an aesthetically pleasing sight. Secondly, one serving is enough for the whole day and the next morning. This way I never run out of a cold drink (my favorite brew time is 22 hours, I can actually bottle the rest and gift them to friends). Third, the filter is made of metal and is reusable. Some competing brewers use filter papers that need constant refilling, which can be inconvenient. I noticed that some people complain about ground coffee mixing with water, so I decided to solve this problem. The RJ3 has a METAL filter, it doesn't use PAPER filters so it doesn't filter out the very fine sediment you get from coarsely ground beans. This is the same as French Press/Press Pot. However, a tiny precipitate collects at the bottom of the glass and remains there. When you pour coffee into a cup, the dregs remain in the glass.
