Not as loud as same spec

Need a set of these recessed tweeters for my dashboard in my Mercedes. They have the same characteristics as the old ones, but they aren't as loud and the bass is completely different. They fit perfectly so I keep them to myself but am completely unimpressed with the sound quality.
