Impressive! After the glass was thoroughly cleaned, they were pressed firmly to ensure all air was expelled from under the cups. I used two hooks simply because there is a piece of wood between the two discs that prevents a hook from being centered. (A hook would definitely do the trick in terms of holding power.) They hold up great even in our high humidity!
