I have a new Asus Rog Strix laptop and want a good case to protect it but the first two I bought , were cheap and/or worn imitations. The first was "PU leather" which I just discovered means polyurethane, so no leather at all. The next was slightly better, but not much better, made from Indian goatskin. All I can say is that it looked good in the picture but the real thing was very different and actually looked a bit shabby. The coloring was uneven, as was the "leather" texture. Poor goats, you gave your life in vain for this pathetic second-rate bag. So this time I was desperate for real leather - "cowhide" - the magic word, and I should have bought this bag. The stitching and dyeing of this product are well done, and the texture of the leather is comfortable. The leather is quite thick and looks like it will wear well. Too bad I can't send the other two back. Whether you have a work laptop or an older one, any laptop bag will do, including faux leather or goatskin models. But if you want a quality laptop bag that looks good and is well made, I think this bag is worth the extra money.
