I must have watched over 300 DVDs with no problems. I often went to dinner alone. I would take this device with me and watch a movie while eating. I've never had hearing problems. Enough of the usual headphones was more than enough. This allowed me to enjoy the film without disturbing those around me. In the future, there were never problems with insufficient charging. Some users have complained that the lid won't close. If you close it by force, it may damage the latch. However, if you hold down the release button and don't release it until the cover is properly seated, you're not pushing anything against the latch and it shouldn't wear out.
