These lights are supplied without an electrical junction box. You'll have to create your own (don't try to pair them without a box). I used a flat electrical box with a metal cover and grommet. This box goes through the hole and sits in the ceiling. It is inexpensive but requires a little effort. Great light, except for the lack of a box. The springs in particular are strong and hold the lamp securely to the ceiling.
