Works as advertised

They darken well. (Used two different dimmers - both worked. There seems to be a small strobe if you dim less than 10%, but I think any LED will do that.) I bought 2 packs of warm white. They are quite white - too white for what I was hoping for. There were no problems with the backlight of different colors.

Very well built - durable *see. Pay attention to below

To be clear I should mention that I measured wrong and had to return them due to user error. Now with 2 other different brands only 1" larger in diameter (whatever was available) I'm very disappointed that I couldn't find the exact same ones in 4" (which I really needed). The quality is incomparable, that's great. I hope you find this to be your case.

Good quality and compact size

I've been looking for quality recessed LED downlights for a while when I came across these and I'm very happy with the aluminum construction and the dimmability of these downlights. They look great over my fireplace (I used them for accent lighting). When making a hole for these lights you need to consider the width of the spring, it doesn't matter, but if the 2.5" hole isn't too small, use the 2.8" hole.

Durable, high quality, bright yet flashing when dimmed (on three different types of dimmer modules

They look good Sturdy build and feel Bright you know it's fine as long as you don't put them on a dimmer and give them full brightness Three different dimmer modules with Alexa They flicker They flicker so fast you can see the water droplets in the kitchen sink.Also due to the design of the reflector it casts so many hard shadows that the previous (non dimmable) had smooth reflectors and didn't cast that bad.I'll buy another set and I'll try them first before I use them install.

Nice light but you have to make a box for electrical connection.

These lights are supplied without an electrical junction box. You'll have to create your own (don't try to pair them without a box). I used a flat electrical box with a metal cover and grommet. This box goes through the hole and sits in the ceiling. It is inexpensive but requires a little effort. Great light, except for the lack of a box. The springs in particular are strong and hold the lamp securely to the ceiling.
