I've bought replacement iPhone and iPad cables so many times only to throw them away after a few uses. What happened to the cables that lasted forever? like all the extension cords in my garage that I inherited from my parents 30 years ago. The difference is that these tiny cables are always bent, plugged into tiny cramped places, and it's not the cable itself that breaks, but the contact pad. , which has enough surface coverage in the early stages to make good contact, but ears become deaf from friction and time and eventually fail. The cables here seem great and the endpoints that go into my iPhone are nice and new. Time will tell, but at some point they too are expected to fail, which is another reason why new contactless chargers and Bluetooth interfaces will continue to supplant hard physical connections - but it's likely to bring more rap. Failure of the ID semiconductor in an iPhone or iPad compared to an inexpensive and easily replaceable $20 physical cable. hmmmm I could be completely wrong about all of this. But overall shipping from this supplier was great and the cable works!
