I was quite skeptical and really can't believe that an electric cord can make a difference in a Hi-Fi system. I have a Yamaha A-S801 amp ($800), a Wharfedale Diamond 225 ($300), a 10" Yamaha 100W NS-SW100BL subwoofer ($180). Subwoofer volume to get the "oomph" which my +225 amp can't convey in my preference (don't get me wrong they go well with most music) I went to work. When I got home to reboot the system had to I turn off my subwoofer because it was no longer needed. A lot of my 80's compilations literally came to life with added melodies (mids and highs) and solid low sounds. Bass with a different feel (rumble, thump, rolling wave rippling up I don't really know why this is happening after replacing the stock power cord with this new 5.5ft (WAudio 10 AWG Hi-End HiFi Audio AC power cord, power cord). I could and decided to try it $40 ain't much of a risk boy I was e pleased and surprised! Another surprise is that when I play my Diana Krall "Besame" at a low volume, I can still hear all the high/mid/low detail and the recorded red wine bass. Finally, the cable appears to be professionally assembled with quality parts. There's no reason to waste time making your own cable. Thanks to the factory and engineers in China. Excellent work !
