Probably works great if you use a fine litter.

Using this mat, I have more litter all over my laundry room floor, and tracked out of the room and into the hallway, than I ever did in 10+ years of using an outdoor welcome mat. This may be because we use a crystal litter (which is a slightly larger litter particle than say, a typical scoopable) but, it is really just useless for us. Seems easy to clean, being rubber. I even vacuum it off without issue. But, I'll be heading out for a welcome mat type solution to prevent the constant litter around the house as a result of switching to this.
