I received the second pair of these and they were better than the first pair I received. All zippers worked perfectly. I like that all five pockets have zips so I can keep my stuff safe when I'm on the go. The material is light and stretchy and as I wear them outside I would say they protect well from the wind. I have a 34 inch waist and a 32 inch inseam. The large one I ordered seemed too big so I got the medium one a second time. The length was good but the waist was just right. If you have a 34" waist and would like a little more room in your hips and buttocks, I would consider larger ones. All in all I'd say these are decent hiking pants that stand up to some elements quite well.
