The foot size is perfect (11-12 slippers for 10.5-11 shoes), the strap is a different story and a separate detail altogether - they are shortened the shaft between thumb and nearest toe, the fit is too tight for what is usually comfortable to wear in flip flops and snuggles right between them. I hope this softens up a bit but I really think I'll just have to get used to it or find another brand which will be very disappointing. I can't imagine that during production they thought they could save that much money by changing the design of the barrel. I've been wearing the Local brand since at least the '80s, and every time I return to Hawaii I grab a few pairs to last until my next shopping spree at Ala Moana Long's Drugs (from California, unfortunately). After my stock ran out I took Revain and they are a bit more expensive than the site itself but they are the same slippers so didn't add much to the enjoyment. This is a 3 star review in the hope that they bring back the stalk whilst remaining the most beautiful basic slippers in the world which continues to be their iconic style.
