I found her on the Big Island in Hawaii. I find them more comfortable than other flip flops. I read reviews of expensive branded sneakers and then decided I could buy multiple pairs for the price of one. So I buy in different colors. They remind me of the ones I wore as a kid many, many years ago. They hold up well too.

The size of the foot is perfect (slippers 11-12 on shoes 10.5-11), the strap is a separate story and generally one separate detail - shortened the bar between the big toe and the next, the fit is too tight for what usually wear comfortable flip flops that pinch right between them. I hope this softens up a bit but I really think I'll just have to get used to it or find another brand which will be very disappointing. The locals make the best rubber slippers for the price. They are strong yet lightweight and tend to last much longer than other brands. I bought my first pair in Hawaii many years ago. They wear out over time, but I always replace them with another pair of Locals. I've tried buying other brands but they don't stand up - the sole is shrinking, the strap between the fingers will break in a month or two. I fell in love with Local's Hawaiian flip flops in 2006. I've been buying them online ever since, and every time I get a size 10, which is a 67-foot height in the United States. I received this pair and they were too small. So I ordered the next size up from another company, they were an 11 and 12 and they were too big. So this is not a bad rating for the seller, but rather a question of what has changed about these flip flops. Anyone out there know?

I wear women's sizes 7-7 1/2. I ordered 10" shoes and they fit perfectly. I love that you can wear them with wet feet and your feet stay in place. No slippage. They feel snug when you first put them on , but they loosen up as you walk in. I would say if you have a wider and fuller foot they probably won't fit you.

While we endure rain day after day without sun, wallowing in the mud, I like to dress up my locals and pretend I'm somewhere in Hawaii. They are comfy and cute and I always have to have a pair on hand. When I went to Maui and forgot to bring slippers, I had to go to Long and take them! Back home in California I prefer these shoes whenever possible. If I could wear them to work, I would. Aloha!

It's a trigger, of course, so there's nothing to say, is there? Well it's more than you think. The straps are strong and break. I've had many in this style that just scatter around randomly, but they're firmly in place. These are well constructed shoes.
