The locals make the best rubber slippers for the price. They are strong yet lightweight and tend to last much longer than other brands. I bought my first pair in Hawaii many years ago. They wear out over time, but I always replace them with another pair of Locals. I've tried buying other brands but they don't stand up - the sole is shrinking, the strap between the fingers will break in a month or two. The locals last a year or two (and I wear mine all the time). A note on arch support: if you need serious arch support, look elsewhere. These are just flip flops but they still have a good cushioning sole in my opinion.
