One star minus because you can break a window or damage drywall without additional rubber bumpers. It was relatively easy to install and very durable. It's bigger than it looks in the photos here, so check the measurements! The suction cups are strong but easy to remove and adjust with the pull tabs. Folds up when you want to close blinds or open a glass door. I highly recommend getting small vinyl bumpers from your local hardware store (or Amazon) and placing them on the glass right where the 2 metal support arms come down and meet the glass. They cost $4 or less and are easy on your window (or your drywall if you have a window and over a window sill) because if you lift the shelf, the metal levers will fly down pretty quickly and can do real damage. Even an inquisitive cat can potentially cause the bed to rise and hands fall off, breaking the window. You need bumpers that are at least 1/4 thick. I like this design over hanging wire bars because the support bars are under the bed and don't get in the way of jumping cats. I had to adjust the lower shells a few times so that the ends of the support rods evenly supported the frame and the frame was parallel to the ground. Retractable suction cups make this task easier. I also cleaned the glass surfaces where the cups were going to be placed with rubbing alcohol. The company should include a few extra vinyl bumpers to prevent the window or door from cracking or ripping holes in the drywall. They give you extra suction, why not 2 protective vinyl bumpers? That's the only reason I can't give 5 stars.
