Maybe it's my technique (I'm new to leatherworking) but I'm having a really hard time getting chisels out of one piece after piercing it. It's quite a thick piece, but the chisels go straight through. However, I got stuck trying to get the chisel out of the holes. I got lucky with pliers and elbow grease, but now my hands hurt and I can't get it out of my skin after the fourth hit. Any tips? If I had a very narrow file, I would try to smooth out the surfaces between each chisel, which appear so ribbed that they are harder to remove.
