Let me start by saying how attractive these bulbs are! They are clear and smooth with a transparent appearance, looking and feeling like glass rather than the usual smoke or frosted lightbulbs. This allows more light to come through for a clearer view. These lights were also packaged very well and looked exactly like the picture. This was a recent purchase as I needed the same bulb for my flashlight. I wanted to try it out in different areas for a week before adding a review and they work great! It doesn't emit much light, but it's LED lighting, so not very bright, but minimal glow to give enough light for lounging, relaxing, or other low-light needs. You'll likely need to step up (LED or power) for business, document work, or tasks that require brighter areas if possible. Another benefit, however, is the ability to be dimmed, so dual functions are always good. But thankfully they worked well for what I needed and are fairly durable as my daughter accidentally dropped one on the dresser (short drop) and it didn't crack or make an internal rattle like the old traditional lightbulbs I used would have. Sure it might be a little pricey for some but in my opinion great value for a longer lasting, more energy efficient and heat saving product. It was also easy to screw in like a regular lightbulb. So overall for my needs I am very happy with the purchase. I will definitely repeat the order if necessary. Leslie
