Excellent Portable Safe

If you want to keep some things safe in your hotel room or car, this is a very good choice. I also have a smaller one but sometimes more storage is needed and this size will be in my car (unless it's coming to a hotel room with me). Like every other Pacsafe product I have purchased, it is very well thought out. The design has obviously been revised to make it even easier to use than the old one I have. I used the smaller size on a trip to visit my mom when she was injured and I knew I would be leaving things in her apartment that other people had access to so I left them in a portable safe when I went and tied it to my bed and covered it with a blanket. Since we still went to doctor's appointments, lunch, etc. after she was released, I left it there and used it in such cases. When I left the house I used it so seldom that I forgot about it and left it at home and then couldn't find out where it was. This became clear when my mother moved into an apartment with a higher level of care. I left the key at home (two states away) and we couldn't get the (empty) safe out until we disassembled the whole bed, which took a good 20-30 minutes and the effort of one of the movers and I receive it for free. No one is going to run away with your values when they're in there and tied to something immovable without using some very obvious tools, brawn, and time. and since most thieves want to be stealthy and quick, this is probably a big help in keeping what's yours.

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
