I broke my ankle over a year ago and it still hurts a lot; especially in the morning. Sometimes I limp for an hour before my leg sags. This ankle brace makes a big difference! When I wear it, the lameness goes away within minutes. I also wear it when working out or when I have to stand for a long time or carry heavy objects. If I'm not wearing it and working hard, my foot can rise up to three days after; With a corset I usually have no pain the next day. The strap does an excellent job of providing the support I need. This is a very comfortable brace, I would recommend it to anyone who needs ankle support. The only thing is if I leave it dormant for a long time it starts to hurt from the tightness so be sure to take it off before going to bed or when sitting for a while etc.
