In some reviews I see complaints about the vacuum getting full too quickly or that it doesn't have the same suction power as the corded vacuum. THIS IS NOT INTENDED! TL; DR: In my opinion, the answer to this Oreck stick vacuum is IT DEPENDS. Don't buy this as your "vacuum cleaner". Only buy this if you have a good vacuum but would like a lightweight, well made, easy to use, quality vacuum for the occasional clutter in your home. That's the short version I think. :-) LONG VERSION: I know the Oreck POD Cordless Stick is worthy of a high-end day vacuum, but that's not what it's designed for. it's just not true. A battery-powered vacuum cleaner like this is a handy device. This is for when you don't want to take the MAIN VACUUM out, plug it in and vacuum the house. This is the vacuum created when you accidentally drop a glass of wine and smash it on the kitchen floor. This is a vacuum cleaner that you can use to do stairs because it is convenient and easy to use, fits well on the stairs and is not heavy. This is the vacuum you use when the kids have been playing and making a mess with some Mars Sand, Pluffle, or some other dirty new brew. BE DISAPPOINTED. IN ONE OF THEM. They are NOT there for that! So check out this Oreck POD Cordless Stick Lightweight Baggable Rechargeable Black BK51702 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner as it's INTENDED FOR USE. Let's get straight to the point. Is it expensive. This is Lux. This is not for those trying to save money or get a good deal, this vacuum cleaner is for those who have disposable income and want COMFORT and QUALITY DESIGN. not so humble opinion: 1. It is VERY LIGHT and the design makes it even lighter. It's SUPER EASY to use and does a great job.2. It is VERY WELL DESIGNED. The attachment strip for different heads is ingenious. Many of these vacuums come with half a dozen (ie three) different attachments in addition to the main attachment, and THERE IS NO STORAGE PLACE! THIS VACUUM has a vault for you, and it's well made. You assemble a beautiful aluminum bar with three black round plastic holders and all three different heads fit comfortably in a cupboard or pantry.3. Outstanding minds. The main header is what you will be using 90% of the time. But the rest of the time, when you need a corner cleaner or smaller rotating and non-rotating heads, you can use them under almost anything and in between anything. They are well made and easy to replace.4. OPTIONS - You can wall mount the charger and pass that vacuum through to the charger OR you can skip this and just put it in a corner and plug in the charging cable when you need to charge it. It's easy anyway. Cleans VERY WELL. Not as good as your AC 120V AC Motor but REALLY GOOD. This is great for all the things I mentioned above.6. The pods work very well and aren't very expensive unless you use them as a daily vacuum. It's well done. This is an ORECK QUALITY VACUUM CLEANER. If you're unfamiliar with Oreck, this is the real deal - top-notch gear. No junk that breaks in three months or a year. You can tell by the ON/OFF/SPEED switch that it's solid, sturdy, beefy and just gives the impression of good quality - not cheap, flimsy and plastic. Here's the final word. This vacuum is not for everyone. This is for "rich people". You don't spend $500 on an "oh we spilled some rice all over the kitchen" cordless vacuum when you're struggling to survive. It just doesn't make sense. But if you can afford it and appreciate the convenience of being lightweight, well made, powerful, battery operated so you don't have to plug it in, easy to use, take it anywhere and hold everything you need you need , and it's not messy or difficult to empty the vacuum cleaner - this is the battery powered vacuum cleaner for you. He does his job very well, but his work shouldn't be your daily vacuum. You will be disappointed if you buy it with expectation.
