I've had these headphones for a couple of weeks now and I'm still amazed by the sound quality every time I put them on. I was initially drawn to these headphones because of the good reviews and the unique physical design. The small size with interchangeable wing tips looked like they would fit snugly in the ears and they fit really well without putting any strain on the ear cartilages. The sound quality is simply excellent. They create a wide and deep soundstage with clear mids and highs. People say they have heavy bass response and I have to agree to a degree - it's definitely capable of producing a deep and sustained hum, but it doesn't ruin the sound at all. There's no undue low-frequency rumble on tracks with little bass response. You can switch from listening to Queen to Liquid Stranger (EDM) and not miss out on the full experience of a genre. After using these headphones for a while I went back and tried my old favorite set the taotronics soundelite 71 (wired bluetooth) - these other headphones support AptX HD but the sound of the earfun free pro is 10-10 over the entire frequency range times better . These are still my new favorite headphones to this day. The AAC codec used is fully transparent when listening to high quality (256kbps AAC) YouTube music. Although the actual Bluetooth audio signal is re-encoded from the source, I don't hear any compression artifacts in the audio. Better than any wired headphones I've tried. The noise-cancellation is good at blocking out continuous sounds like the hum of your car rolling down the street (although I wouldn't advise driving with them, it's not safe - just a test I did). They also don't cancel out dynamic noise like random background conversations, although they do dampen them out a bit. The isolation of the oval earcups inherently creates a dense soundproofing, so the ANC simply blocks out the really intrusive noises. It would probably be great for air travel. However, Ambient Sound Mode is useless, it just picks up and adds continuous tones that would otherwise be erased by ANC, such as: B. Fan hum. For example, hearing people trying to talk to you won't help you. But it's fairly typical of basic electronic active noise cancellation, it's much better at canceling continuous tones. The low latency mode also works quite well, it seems to reduce latency by about half. I didn't really need to use it except with my Firestick with Kodi. Most Android apps these days have code that measures (or somehow estimates) the latency for the headphone device and adjusts the audio/video timing to compensate. Youtube, Netflix, etc. do this automatically. Touch playback controls work well, I would suggest tapping faster for best response. There is no last track function, but that doesn't bother me. I like the double tap to play and pause, and the single tap to increase/decrease the volume works better than other headphones where you accidentally pause the music while cleaning the headphones. The gains in volume are also small, so an accidental adjustment won't rupture the eardrums. The call quality is excellent, both to hear the interlocutor and so that the other party can hear you. I took a few recordings with the headset and it's definitely the highest quality Bluetooth mic I've come across. It's amazing, but somehow the quality of the other person's audibility is MUCH better than other Bluetooth headphones I've used. Sounds natural, almost "HD" and not the raspy sound of other low bitrate headphones. This is interesting because all Bluetooth headphones use the same protocol for low bitrate calls, so the engineers behind these headphones (Fiil) have set things up really well. and 2 wing sizes, plus 1 silicone strip that fits in place of the wing if you don't want to have one. They fit better than any other in-ear headphones I've tried and they're so small! The estimated battery life of 6-7 hours seems correct, although I haven't specifically tried to measure it. The charging case is also nice and small and easily fits in your pocket. Just don't lose!
